This stamp was issued in 1952. The "24583" number on the lower right corner is the serial number of the plate, used in the printing press, to make the sheet of stamps containing these four stamps. If you look at the Ship Rock example, below, you will see what a sheet of stamps looks like. However, now the sheets of stamps are much smaller, and they are self adhesive stamps.
